Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo has listed bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, as his number one target when he makes his much-anticipated return
Post the conclusion of UFC 273, Henry Cejudo expressed his desire to return back in action, and informed media outlets that he’s re-entering the USADA pool, and resumed training. His manager Ali Abdelaziz confirmed the news, although UFC president Dana White was in denial of it.
But it looks like Cejudo is iron-fisted about his return, and his manager posted a picture of them meeting UFC matchmakers Hunter Campbell and Sean Shelby. He captioned the post, ‘All @ufc bantamweight division in big trouble The double champ is here’
Cejudo reacted to his manager’s post by saying that his return is now closer than ever, and a fight against bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is being talked about. He said, ‘I’m coming back for these tomato cans and I’m going to right the wrong! Aljolame you the number one contender Bitch @funkmasterMMA @danawhite‘
Henry Cejudo resumes training under the watchful eyes of boxing legend Mike Tyson
Cejudo was seen alongside heavyweight boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson on his show the Hotboxing podcast on several occasions. The pair even share a boxing trainer together in the name of Rafael Cordeiro. Cordeiro has been training Mike recently, even when he fought fellow boxing legend Roy Jones.
Cejudo posted a video of him hitting the mitts with Cordeiro, while Mike Tyson watches with an observant and scrutinizing eye. ‘Triple C’ had mentioned that he wants to leave no stone unturned when he moves up in weight to challenge Alexander Volkanovski.
He posted a video on Twitter with the caption, ‘Under the watchful eye of Uncle Mike, I can’t miss. #thecountdownbegins’
