Best Meals for Each Party Member in Soul Hackers 2

You don’t see characters stopping for lunch that often in RPGs. It’s just kind of assumed they’re doing things like that when the story flashes forward or whatever. Food is meant to be enjoyed together, though, which is why you can eat with your party members in Soul Hackers 2 to enhance their abilities. Here are the best meals for each party member in Soul Hackers 2.

Best Meals for Each Party Member in Soul Hackers 2

In Soul Hackers 2, you can purchase meals from various sources, such as stores, take-out spots, and vending machines. If you return to the Safehouse, you can have your party eat the meal together, which confers various buffs until the next time you exit a dungeon.

Here’s the catch, though: every party member has their own culinary preferences. They’ll eat whatever you put in front of them, but if it’s something they don’t like, then the buffs will be lowered for that particular party member. For example, Saizo doesn’t like Critical Boscaiola, which boosts everyone’s critical rates. If you eat it, he’ll still get a boosted critical rate, but it won’t be as big of a boost as the other party members. Keep these preferences in mind if you’re trying to optimize a particular character’s build.

Also, one or more members of your party will usually be out of the safehouse while everyone is eating, so you won’t see them in the ensuing cutscene. This is just cosmetic; even if they’re not there, they’ll still get whatever buffs are coming to them.

Here’s a list of the various meals you can purchase in Soul Hackers 2, and each party member’s affinity to them. For the sake of expediency, we’ll only highlight whether a character likes or hates a meal. Otherwise, assume they’re neutral to it.

  • Vitamin Spaghetti: Milady and Saizo like it
  • Humble Mushroom Rice Porridge: Ringo, Arrow, and Figue like it
  • Chakra Flan: Ringo, Arrow, and Figure like it
  • Prayer Bouillabaisse: Milady and Saizo like it
  • Negoti-ale: Everyone is neutral
  • Placebo Drink: Everyone is neutral
  • Sancho’s Sweet Potato: Everyone is neutral
  • Critical Boscaiola: Ringo and Figue like it, Saizo hates it
  • Dexterous Pescatora: Milady likes it, Arrow and Figue hate it
  • Aim Bambino: Arrow and Saizo like it, Ringo and Milady hate it
  • Philanthropic Shoyu Ramen: Arrow and Figue like it, Milady hates it
  • Goma Miso Ramen: Saizo and Figue like it, Ringo hates it
  • Featherlight Wonton Ramen: Ringo, Milady, and Figue like it, Arrow and Saizo hate it
  • Spiritual Cold Ramen: Figue hates it
  • Green Apple Cider: Ringo likes it, Arrow, Milady, and Saizo hate it
  • Purity Shio Ramen: Arrow likes it, Ringo, Milady, Saizo, and Figue hate it
  • Beginner Bianca: Milady likes it, Ringo, Arrow, Saizo, and Figue hate it
  • Farm-raised Eelburger: Saizo likes it, Ringo, Arrow, Milady, and Figue hate it

As for the best meals, you should generally prioritize Ringo when doling out buffs, so choose her favorites above the others. The Humble Mushroom Rice Porridge or Chakra Flan are best for ensuring your longevity in a dungeon, passively restoring your HP and MP, respectively. The Critical Boscaiola is nice if you know you’re heading for a dangerous encounter, though considering his preferences, you might not be able to rely on Saizo as much for critical hits. Finally, if you’re power-leveling, try the Green Apple Cider for an XP boost against enemies stronger than you.
