Ashley Walters as Dushane

In Season 2 of Top Boy, Ashley Walters returns to the role of Dushane. Along with co-star Kane Robinson, who plays Sully, he also works as an executive producer for the show.

Kane Robinson as Sully

Kano is returning in the most recent season of Top Boy as drug lord Gerard John “Sully” Sullivan. Sully abandoned Dushane and Summerhouse at the end of Season 1, and it appeared like he would try to start over in Season 2. Sully, though, is still battling to escape the repercussions of his old life in Season 2. Kano is primarily renowned for his music career, notably in the grime genre, outside of his Top Boy reputation.

Michael Ward as Jamie

In the newest season of Top Boy, BAFTA Rising Star winner Michael Ward reprises his role as Jamie. Jamie was the major antagonist in Season 1 and the leader of the competing narcotics gang London Fields. However, Dushane was able to free Jamie from jail in Season 2, and they are now cooperating. Ward won the 2020 BAFTA Rising Start Award for his performance as Marco in the highly acclaimed movie Blue Story.

Simbiatu Ajiakawo as Shelley

Dushane’s partner and Dushane’s mother’s caregiver, Shelley, is back as Simbiatu “Simbi” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, also known by her stage as Little Simz. The fourth studio album by Little Simz, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, helped her win the Brit Award for Best New Artist in February 2024. Spirit Warriors and Youngers on television are among her other starring roles.

Jasmine Jobson as Jaq

Jasmine Jobson, a BAFTA candidate, is back as Jaq, Dushane’s second-in-command, and a dealer. Jobson stated in an interview during the program’s debut that Jaq undergoes a deep emotional journey in Season 2. Jobson most recently appeared as Lily alongside Ben Whishaw, Ellie Haddington, and Ian Gelder in the film Surge.

Lisa Dwan as Lizzie

For season four of “Top Boy,” Lisa Dwan will reprise her role as Lizzie, which she first played in season three. At first, Lizzie’s character collaborates closely with Jamie (played by Michael Ward), but by the conclusion of season three, Dushane and Sully had persuaded her to assist them.

Saffron Hocking as Lauryn

Saffron Hocking returns as Lauryn, Jaq’s older sister, after having been expelled from the Summerhouse in Season 1 for spying on Dushane and Sully to their competitor Leyton. Hocking, a model, and actress from London, is best known for portraying in the television series White Gold and London Kills.

Top Boy Plot

The plot centres on the conflict between Gerald Sully Sulvian and Dushane Hill, two drug dealers. Summerhouse, a made-up location, has a drug mafia led by Dushane Hill and Gerald Sully Sullivan. These two drug cartels engage in a variety of illegal activities, overcoming difficulties to dominate the drug trade. Dushane Hill and Gerald Sully Sullivan had many challenges on their quest, and their rivals also grew as the story continued to take unexpected turns.

The drug lords Dushane Hill and Gerald Sully Sulivan control Summerhouse estate, which serves as the focal point for all illicit activity. However, one of their greatest competitors, Kamale, stole a significant amount of their supplies, which caused a delay in their operations. Before the supplier Bobby Raikes knew, the two partners, Dushane Hill and Gerald Sully, pursued the robber, which quickly strained their bond. After relationship difficulties, the two partners split and began to grow apart.
