UNLOCK INDY + SEARCH SHUFFLED SHRINES

Ready for some fortune and glory? Indiana Jones’ Battle Pass Quests go live starting 9 AM ET on July 6, 2024! Complete these Quests to unlock the Indiana Jones Outfit and more items from his Set.

Just in time for Indy’s entrance, the Shuffled Shrines temple has been discovered on the Island! Explore this POI just west of The Joneses for an ancient architecture adventure.

CHARGE SMG: SEND A BULLET BARRAGE

Found from the ground, Chests, Supply Drops, Reality Saplings, and sharks, pick up the new Charge SMG to wind up a punch! You’ll activate a charge by holding down the trigger, and the more you hold it, the more bullets you’ll release when you let go. How to know when to release? You’ll see a gauge on-screen showing how far in the charge you are. Send a strategic full charge or a spontaneous partial charge!

(With the arrival of the Charge SMG, the Combat SMG has been vaulted.)

FORTIFY FAST WITH THE PORT-A-FORT

Nothing says good vibes like convenience: the Port-A-Fort is back! Throw down a Port-A-Fort — found from the ground as well as Chests — to fortify yourself in seconds. Zero building is required, as the fort will arise on its own.

RIPSAW LAUNCHER LOCATIONS

Even though Ripsaw Launcher Week has come to an end, you can still find Ripsaw Launchers from the ground, Chests, and Supply Drops in addition to The Chop Shop! However, with Ripsaw Launcher Week being over, this weapon will be in a more standard supply.

  • The Combat SMG has been vaulted in competitive playlists.

SAVE THE WORLD

SPRINT, SLIDE, AND SO MUCH MORE

New movement options have been added to Fortnite Save the World! First introduced to Fortnite Battle Royale and Creative earlier in Chapter 3, players in Save the World can now sprint, slide, mantle, shoulder bash, and yes, even crouch!

These movement upgrades function alongside your existing Heroes’ abilities. Take a look!

REPAIR AND UPGRADE ON THE GO

To accommodate these new control requirements, we’ve made a change to how Repairing and Upgrading is executed. Now instead of hitting a button to repair the build you have selected for every object, players will hold to Repair and “sweep” their reticle across all buildings and traps they want to repair or upgrade, executing the command instantly as they go.

Note: “Hold to Repair” is currently only available in Save The World.

HOVERBOARD GOES VROOM

Alongside movement upgrades putting some spring in your step, Hoverboards have been souped up! They now move faster, and you can now mount and dismount quicker to stay on the move.

NEW BUILDING LAYOUTS

Many of the building templates and floor layouts in missions have expanded! New vents (try crouching to explore them!), doors, buildings, and locations have been added to all biomes. The real question now is: where’s the bacon hidden this time?

FLIGHT OF THE FENNIX QUESTLINE

A new questline and Hero arrives this weekend, introducing Fennix to Save the World. Their new perk, Debilitating Bite, applies Damage Vulnerability to every enemy your tamed wildlife hits. When Fennix is your commander those marked enemies explode when hit or eliminated, damaging nearby foes. Work with your pack to take out key targets!

HIT THE ROAD CONTINUES

Cloaked Star is on his way to the Radio Station to broadcast his Song of the Summer! The Hit the Road Questline continues, with new tunes and new baddies. Help out Cloaked Star and unlock Ankylo Kyle! His Saurian Grit perk heals you each time your Kinetic Overload is triggered.

CHARGE SMG

The Charge SMG is a burst style SMG that fires when the trigger is released. The longer the trigger is held, the longer the burst. The Charge SMG is available in all rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic).

RIPSAW LAUNCHER AND FIREWORK FLARE GUN

In case you missed it, the Ripsaw Launcher and Firework Flare Gun were both recently added into Creative! Rip through clutter and make a scene with the dazzling Firework Flare Gun and Ripsaw Launcher.

BALLER SPAWNER DEVICE UPDATE

The Baller now has a default health of 400, so it can take more hits before being destroyed. There’s a new option, Grappler Range, that you can use to increase or decrease the distance someone can grapple to while in the Baller. If you don’t want players to worry about fuel/energy use in your island, the Has Infinite Energy option can be set to On!

HUB CHANGES

We are introducing a new Hub layout that focuses on giving you a place to showcase your artistic skills. To accomplish this, we have removed matchmaking portals and featured rifts. Instead, there are now 8 player rifts so you can continue creating and playing in private parties. There is also one Creator Showcase map selected by the Hub creator.

Fortnite

In the player vs player battle mode of the survival game Fortnite, hundreds of players compete to be the last one standing. The game is fast-paced and action-packed, comparable to The Hunger Games in which survival depends on the ability to think strategically. Around 125 million people play Fortnite.

Fortnite Game Modes

There are three different game modes for Fortnite that all use the same engine and have the same graphics, art assets, and gameplay mechanics.

  • Fortnite: Save the World

  • Fortnite Battle Royale

  • Fortnite Creative

Fortnite Gameplay

Fortnite: Save the World

A cooperative game that pits players against the environment is called Fortnite: Save the World. The game mode entails four players cooperating on several tasks to accomplish a common objective. The game takes place after a terrible storm kills 98% of the population and leaves the survivors susceptible to “husks” that resemble zombies. The players must gather supplies, provide aid to those in need, and protect machinery that helps either acquire information about the storm or repel it as a commander. Different in-game items are given to players as rewards; these items can be utilized to level up.

Fortnite Battle Royale

The 100-player battle royale mode in Fortnite Battle Royale is played in player-versus-player fashion. It can be played alone, with a partner, or with a team. A “Battle Bus” that flies around the game’s map drops off players. Without any weapons, they are dropped. When they arrive, they must search for weapons, gear, supplies, and even vehicles while attempting to survive and attacking and eliminating other players.

Fortnite Creative

The sandbox game mode in Fortnite Creative is comparable to Minecraft. Players can create anything from the game, including battle arenas, race circuits, platforming difficulties, and more, anywhere they want on an island in the game.
