Rhea Ripley turned heel a few weeks ago when she attacked her own tag team partner Liv Morgan. The Nightmare went on to join Edge’s heel faction known as The Judgement Day after helping the Rated-R Superstar win a match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania Backlash.
There are various reports that Ripley will be given a major push on Raw as part of the villainous Judgement Day stable. She has played the role of a heel quite impressively over the last few weeks. The Australian star faced the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair this week after SmackDown stopped airing. The match was described by fans in attendance to be a physical affair.
The EST of WWE got the victory and Ripley was in a foul mood while walking towards the backstage area. A fan has posted a video on Twitter where we can see a young girl extending her hand to get a tag from the former Raw Women’s Champion while she was walking toward the backstage area. Ripley did not oblige as she was heard saying, “Don’t even think of touching me. I dare you.”
Hopefully, the parents would be able to explain to the young girl how heels work. Ripley would have had to break character to shake hands with the fan and she decided against it. While we have seen a few wrestlers break characters in front of children, the former NXT Champion decided not to budge and not much blame can be put on her.
What is next for Rhea Ripley?
Rhea Ripley is currently involved in a feud with Liv Morgan. Ripley beat the former Riott squad member a couple of weeks ago on Raw. However, it seems the rivalry is far from over as Liv Morgan has joined forces with AJ Styles and Finn Balor to even the odds against the dominant trio known as The Judgement Day.
It is expected that we will get to see a mixed tag team match where The Judgement Day will take on Finn Balor and AJ Styles. However, WWE has not yet revealed when the match will take place. We might get an idea on next week’s episode of Raw.
There are rumours doing the rounds that Balor might betray Styles to join Edge’s faction. As for Ripley, she will surely get into Raw Women’s Championship title picture over the next few weeks. Maybe she will get her chance after Asuka faces Belair at Hell in a Cell for the latter’s Raw Women’s Championship.
