Wang Yan is one of China’s leading actresses and most popular Chinese actresses. Wang Yan is also known by her real name, Rebecca Wang. She has garnered a number of awards for her outstanding performances in films and television shows. Born in 1978 in Fujian Province of northern China, Wang Yan is Chinese actresses and was trained in traditional Chinese dance, singing and calligraphy.

At the age of fifteen, Wang Yan was selected to join the all Chinese Olympic squad in gymnastic. After graduation, Wang took a job as a fitness instructor at an exercise gym in Washington, D. C., and enrolled in a Tai Chi style training class run by Tong Yen. When this class began, Wang was impressed by how well she accepted to learn Wing Chun, and even dropped out of college to pursue her dream of becoming a world class Wing Chun fighter.
