Not able to log into Steam right now? You are by no means alone. The platform is home to millions of users, so it makes sense that there may be an outage here and there, with some problems even going widespread. Here is everything you need to know about whether Steam is down right now, and how to check server status if it is.
Is Steam Down Right Now?
At the moment, Steam is currently reporting higher outages than usual. This all started at 5:22 PM, as Down Detector showed that over 25,000 reports had been filed. While this leveled off a bit in the last hour, there’s still over 700 reports of outages as of writing this article.
Neither Valve nor Steam has yet to issue any sort of news regarding the outages, nor have they started a timetable on if any sort of fixes will be implemented. We’ll be sure to keep this article updated as more information on the issue is revealed.
