In his junior year, he completed 604 yards and helped the club get to the 7A state playoffs in 2020. During his final year, he completed 774 passes for 774 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 7.0 yards per carry. He graduated from high school in 2020 and was rated as a three-star prospect by all major recruiting and sports agencies, including Rivals, ESPN, and 247 Sports.
In addition, he was invited to the Under Amor All-American Program series and the ESPN 300 Elite Underclassmen camp. He signed with the University of Illinois as a running back in 2021 and began playing for the club in the 2021 season. In 2021, he made his debut against the UTSA team, gaining 18 yards on 5 carries.
