The game’s open beta is set to be released on July 26, 2024, as a soft launch, while an early access version was released one week prior on July 19 for those who participated in the game’s closed playtests and/or competing in the upcoming 2v2 tournament in the 2024 Evolution Championship Series where the top 32 teams get a share of the $100,000 prize pool and via Twitch’s Drops reward system and/or purchasable founder pack.

How To Unlock Characters In MultiVersus?

The playable roster in Multiversus’ open beta is set at 16, which includes the most recent unveiling of the enormous character Iron Giant. To unlock characters in MultiVersus you must earn gold coins. You can then use the gold you earn to purchase most characters for 2k gold coins in the game. However, when the open beta begins, 11 of the 16 characters must be unlocked with 2,000 gold coins apiece. The following characters are playable:

Thankfully, unlocking the remaining characters is simple and can be done via the Collection menu after enough cash has been obtained. There are several methods for unlocking them, some requiring more grinding than others, especially for Multiversus players who don’t want to invest real money.

How To Unlock Additional Characters In MultiVersus?

As previously stated, new characters may be unlocked with either Gold or the game’s premium money, Gleamium. Characters may be unlocked for 700 Gleamium, which is around $5 to $10, for those who choose to pay Gleamium. Alternatively, players may purchase one of the Founders Pack packages, which provide immediate access to the MultiVersus beta as well as a number of unlocks. The regular edition costs $40 and includes 15 character unlock tokens, which are more than enough to unlock the current locked roster, 300 Gleamium, and 1 Exclusive rare Banner cosmetic. The Deluxe edition costs $60 and includes 20 Character Unlock Tokens, 1,000 Gleamium, 1 Premium Battle Pass unlock, and epic level cosmetics.

Finally, the Premium pack includes 30 character token unlocks, 2,500 Gleamium, 1 unique nameplate, 3 Premium Battle Pass unlocks, everything published in previous Founders Packs, as well as Legendary banners and Ring Out Effects. To unlock characters, though, gamers do not need to spend any money. Simply playing Multiversus earns players Gold, which can be used to unlock additional stuff from the in-game store. Coins may be obtained through participating in matches, leveling up the battle pass/profile/characters, and completing daily and weekly tasks.
