Xbox Series X Info

Microsoft created the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, two home video gaming systems. On November 10, 2020, they both became available as the Xbox console family’s fourth generation, succeeding the Xbox One. The Xbox Series X and Series S are a component of the ninth generation of video game consoles, which also include Sony’s PlayStation 5, which debuts in November 2020.

Xbox Series X Home Screen Not Working

Since its release, the Xbox has advanced significantly as Microsoft makes an effort to improve its Home screen. One of the enhancements brought about by upgrades is the ability to personalize the Home screen so you can access your preferred apps, games, and friends.

There is also a community panel, which has been improved for simpler browsing, where you can post game footage, accomplishments, and other events.

While we appreciate that the UI is always being improved for usability and better experiences, it might not be a nice experience when the Xbox One S is not showing the Home screen.

How To Fix Xbox Series X Home Screen Not Working?

Blank Screen

Hold down the Xbox button for ten seconds to power off the console, then press the Xbox button to turn it back on to solve a blank screen when your Xbox One isn’t showing the Home screen.

Here’s what to do if the console’s screen is blank after you switch it on:

  1. Turn on your television and Xbox One S.

  2. Set the proper input signal on your TV (HDMI).

  3. Ascertain the security of the HDMI connections to your TV and gaming console.

  4. Verify that the HDMI cable is attached to the console’s “out to TV” port.

  5. Hold the power button on the front of your Xbox One console for about 10 seconds to cold boot it, and then switch it back on.

  6. Eject any discs from the console before pressing and holding the Xbox button for five seconds to turn the console off. Then, press and hold both the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear two beeps on the console: one right away and one ten seconds later. This will reset your display settings. Hold steady until the second beep sounds, at which point the power light will flash on. Your console will start up in a reduced resolution mode.

  7. Go to System>Settings>Display & Sounds>Video Options>TV Resolution to reset the low-resolution setting.

  8. The HDMI cable should be inserted into a different TV port.

  9. Connect the Xbox One S game system to the TV using a different HDMI cable.

  10.

  11. A different TV should be connected to your console.

Black Home Screen After System Update

If the console won’t advance past the green Xbox starting animation or displays a black screen in its place, a system upgrade may be to blame for the Xbox One S not presenting the home screen.

If you’re seeing a black screen, it’s possible that the startup animation was flagged as “do not run” by the system after it failed to perform it three times in a row. As a result, the startup was prevented from running, and finally, the Home screen was replaced with a black screen.

Perform An Offline System Update

  1. Connect your USB flash drive to a computer’s USB port.

  2. Activate the OSU1 file.

  3. For saving the console update.zip file to your PC, click Save.

  4. By performing a right-click on the file and choosing Extract All from the pop-up menu, you can unzip it.

  5. On your flash device, transfer the $SystemUpdate file from the.zip archive. There shouldn’t be any other files on the flash drive, and the files should have been copied to the root directory.

  6. Take the USB flash drive out of your computer’s USB port.

Update Your Xbox One S Console

  1. Shut down your console.

  2. To turn the console entirely off, unplug the power cord.

  3. After waiting about 30 seconds, re-plug the power cord.

  4. Hold down the EJECT button on the front of the console while also pressing and holding the BIND button on the left side of the console.

  5. On the game console, press the Xbox button.

  6. Hold the BIND and EJECT buttons for an additional 10 to 15 seconds.

  7. Two “power-up” tones spaced a few seconds apart should be heard. After the second power-up tone, you can release the BIND and EJECTbuttons.

  8. You should be taken right to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter after the system turns on.

  9. Connect the flash disk containing the OSU files to the console’s USB port.

  10. The OSU option will glow green after being selected (or becoming active)

  11. Use the D-pad and A button on your Xbox controller to pick OSU to start the upgrade using the files on your drive.

Xbox Info

Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11, Android, and iOS users can use the Xbox app. It’s the companion software for Xbox video game consoles that give you access to Xbox Live community features, remote control, and second-screen capability with select games, apps, and entertainment. On Windows 10, the program also acts as a launcher for PC games downloaded from the Microsoft Store, Bethesda.net, Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store, Humble Bundle, Battle.net, Origin, and Ubisoft Connect, among others. The previous Xbox app for Windows 10 was renamed Xbox Console Companion during E3 2019, while a new Xbox app was released in testing. This program is more geared toward PC gaming, acting as a front-end for games available on the Microsoft Store as well as a client for Xbox Game Pass on the PC.

Xbox Reception

At launch, critics welcomed the new console hardware and made favourable remarks about its enhanced visuals, shorter loading times, and robust backward compatibility support, but they were unsure of the platform’s full potential because there were no console exclusives. Due to this, many people did not believe that these systems accurately represented the upcoming generation of home consoles at their launch. Given the PlayStation 5’s emphasis on the next generation, some people found the absence of noteworthy launch-day exclusive games intended to showcase the new hardware capabilities, as well as the familiar controller shape and User Interface, to be disappointing.

The Series X was generally regarded as being superior to the Series S because of the latter’s space and computation constraints, which made it less user-friendly to traverse but otherwise remained functional.
