WWE Hall of Famer reacts to Dakota Kai release

The former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Dakota Kai is among the 10 NXT Superstars who have been released this week by WWE.

WWE has released Malcolm Bivens, Harland, Paige Prinzivalli, Dexter Lumis, Persia Pirotta, Sanjana George, Draco Anthony, Raelyn Divine, Mila Malani, and Dakota Kai heading into the weekend.

Shayna Baszler hailed Kai as one of the best wrestlers she has been in the ring with. The 32-year-old Kai won the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Raquel Rodriguez and the two of them went on to become the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team champions.

Kai has stated previously that She is of Samoan and Irish descent. Her younger sister Nyrene is a mixed martial artist. After her release, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix put out a special tweet for the talented wrestler. Phoenix hailed Kai as a leader and a lovely human being. The veteran also revealed Kai as one of her favorite woman wrestlers.
