What Order Should You Play Live a Live’s Chapters? Answered

Guides

If you aren’t sure if there is a best chapter to play first or a correct order to play the scenarios in Live A Live, we’ve got you covered.

Live A Live is a remake of the Japanese-exclusive Super Famicom JRPG, and one of the things that makes this game unique is that it features multiple protagonists across various scenarios. These scenarios are split up into different chapters, and when you start up the game, you’ll see that seven of them are available from the start. You might be wondering if there is a best chapter to play first or a correct order. Here is the answer to what order you should play Live A Live’s chapters.

What Order Should You Play Live a Live’s Chapters? Answered

It might be surprising, but there is no canonical order in what order you should play the chapters or scenarios in Live A Live. You can start with any of the first seven that are presented to you at the start of the game, and you can play them in any order you wish.

There is no right or wrong order to play them in, and the final chapters of the game will not be different if you decide to play the first seven chapters in a different order than somebody else did.

If you’re still feeling stuck on where to begin, there are a few suggestions we can make on what order to play them in.

Chronological Order

Of course, you can always choose to play the chapters in time-sequence chronological order. Each chapter takes place in a different time period, so if you’d like, you can start with the Prehistory chapter, which takes place the earliest, and go all the way through time until you reach the Distant Future chapter. This order would help you see how the characters’ eras change over the course of human history.

If you played any of the demo for Live A Live, your progress carries over to the full game. The demo included portions of the chapters Imperial China, Twilight of Edo Japan, and Distant Future. If you’d like to finish any of those chapters that you already started, it may be a good idea to do so before starting any of the others.

In Increasing Difficulty

Finally, if you want an easy chapter to start with, we suggest either the Near Future chapter or the Imperial China chapter. Both of these chapters have a well-paced plot and ease you into how the game’s combat works.

After you beat the initial seven chapters, an eighth scenario is unlocked. This scenario is the only one that you cannot play before the other seven. After that scenario is completed, the final chapter that ties them all together is unlocked.

Ultimately, there is no wrong order, and you should play the initial seven chapters in any order that seems interesting to you. Hopefully that answers your question of what order you should play Live A Live’s chapters, and be sure to check back with Twinfinite for more tips and gameplay guides on all of the latest big releases.
