Captain Mark Howard, on season one of Below Deck Mediterranean, passed away in October 2021 from cardiovascular disease. He was also an alcoholic, according to a medical examiner report that People got. According to the report, his death was considered natural, and he was 65 years old when he passed away. He passed away on October 27, and the news of his death was released a few days later.  

‘Below Deck Med’ Captain Mark Howard 

After he passed away, his friend and co-star Tiffany Copeland released a tribute statement that read, “RIP Captain Mark Howard. You were a joy to be around.” Tiffany Copeland served as a stewardess under Mark Howard on the Ionian Princess. She continued, “I don’t have many details at this time, but he passed away yesterday.”

Bravo also released a statement after passing away: “Our thoughts and sincerest sympathies are with the family and friends of the respected Captain Mark Howard. As the captain of the first season of Below Deck Med, he will always be remembered for his many contributions and mentorship and will forever remain part of the Bravo family.” Hannah Ferrier spoke about her relationship with Mark Howard and said in an interview, “Captain Mark and I, we send a message maybe once a year, just to touch base. I like him.”

Mark Howard Death

Mark Howard was born and raised in Michigan and was a yacht captain for nearly three decades. He also flew helicopters and was known for his advice on dealing with guests. He said, “The guest is always right.” Many people paid tribute after he passed away. Hannah Ferrier said, “You were a great captain, friend and colleague. Always the gentleman. You will be missed.” 

Below Deck

Below Deck is an American reality television series that came out on Bravo on July 1 2013. The show covers the lives of the crew members who work and live on the deck of a yacht during charter season. The producers book a five-week charter in Sint Maarten on the 50-metre yacht. The yacht was also renamed honour for the series, and Lee Rosbach captains it. The original crew is given time off and replaced by the cast for the show’s filming.
