Bjorn is the son of Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha. He is the oldest of all the sons of Ragnar. Alexander Ludwig is the actor who portrayed the role of Bjorn Ironside in the series.

What Happened To Bjorn In Vikings?

Bjorn Ironside is one of the strongest and most powerful characters in the Vikings series. But every character has to face their downfall in every series no matter how strong or powerful they were. Likewise, Bjorn Ironside faced his downfall in the series. The downfall of the era of Bjorn Ironside began in the Vikings season 5 finale, where he let his half-brother turned enemy Ivar the Boneless live instead of killing him. Ivar later teamed up with Prince Oleg of Novgorod, the leader of the Rus people in killing Bjorn Ironside. Later, his other half-brother Hvitserk teamed up with Ivar, whom he also let live instead of killing him for killing his mother Lagertha. Björn died in Vikings season 6 after being stabbed by Ivar with sword.

How Did Bjorn Ironside Die In Vikings?

The teaming up of Ivar, Hvitserk, and the Rus Army led to a huge downfall of Bjorn Ironside. Ivar, Hvitserk, and the Rus Army launched an attack against Bjorn at the battle for Kattegat. During the battle, Bjorn was stabbed by Ivar and left to die at the end of season six, part one finale. But Bjorn Ironside made his return alive in season six, part two. Bjorn who was already in a heavily injured state went to a battle to face his enemies once and for all. His return shocked everyone in the Rus army which made them believe that he was a ghost or god-like figure. But in the end, Bjorn Ironside was shot with arrows by the Rus army captain which also confirmed his death. Bjorn Ironside who died on the battlefield from numerous injuries was buried in a tomb for a king.
