What happened after NXT 2.0 Spring Breakin went off the air?

WWE NXT 2.0 Spring Breakin event turned out to be quite successful, but what happened when it went off air abruptly?

WWE NXT Superstar Bron Breakker was attacked by some unknown assailants after NXT Spring Breakin went off the air on May 4. However, the NXT Champion successfully defended his title against Joe Gacy in the main event of Spring Breakin.

Both men went hard at each other, but when Gacy went for the headbutt, Breakker managed to counter it and spear Gacy for the win. Some figures with black robes were seen in the arena during the match.

Gacy has been playing mind games with Breakker over the past few weeks. First, he went to holding Breakker’s father, Rick Steiner, a prisoner. Gacy stone Steiner’s ring is a symbol of the latter’s sacrifice for his family and threw it into a fire.

After NXT went off the air, it was shown in a WWE Digital Exclusive that Bron was attacked and had to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher. There has been speculation that Gacy might be behind the attack.

Bron Breakker has been on a dominant run since his debut

Breakker signed with WWE in February 2021 and participated as one of the zombies in the Zombie Lumberjack match last year at WrestleMania Backlash. In his debut singles match-up, he defeated LA Knight in September’s first singles match on NXT 2.0. He then started a feud with Ciampa before another rivalry with Dolph Ziggler.
