Update [Wed 6th Jul, 2024 17:35 BST]: Square Enix has now confirmed that The DioField Chronicle will be launching in the west on the same day as it is in Japan, 22nd September.
The publisher has also opened up pre-orders for physical copies of the game on its website. The standard Switch version will cost $59.99, or you can get the Collector’s Box — which includes a board game — right here. The store page is showing a few different special editions, though not all of the links are working — one priced at $169.99, and another at $110.00, which is likely just the board game.
Original Article [Sat 2nd Jul, 2024 14:30 BST]: Square Enix’s live stream for its upcoming strategy RPG ‘The DioField Chronicle’ has just revealed the game will be arriving in Japan on September 22nd. There’ll also be a trial version arriving in this region on August 10th.
The DioField Chronicle demo will allow players to experience the first chapter and then transfer their progress to the full game when it’s released. There’s no mention if the local release will line up with this September release, or if the trial version will be made available outside of Japan just yet.
This title was originally announced for Switch and multiple other platforms in March and is scheduled to arrive this year locally.
