Get your phone connected as a controller in As Dusk Falls!

As Dusk Falls has a smartphone companion app that can be used as a controller for multiple people to play through it, make decisions, and complete quick-time events without the need for multiple Xbox controllers. In this guide, we’ll run you through how to connect the As Dusk Falls companion app to the game, so you can get all your friends and family involved.
Using the As Dusk Falls Companion App
- Download the As Dusk Falls Companion App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Open the app once it’s downloaded.
- Tap on ‘Join Game.’
- Enter the ‘Connection Code’ displayed in As Dusk Falls on your Xbox or PC.
This is a series of five letters and numbers, displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Once you see your mobile device has connected to your PC/ Xbox, select the ‘Start’ option and you’ll be good to go.
With the use of the companion app, up to eight players can play As Dusk Falls in local co-op multiplayer at any given time. This can include a mix of players using controllers and the companion app itself.
All Companion App Controls
The companion app requires you to use your smartphone’s screen as a touchpad, like a mouse on a laptop to move a cursor around the TV screen.
Once you’ve moved your cursor over a dialog option, tap on it, and you’ll confirm your decision. As for Quick-Time Events and other actions, you’ll simply need to tap, swipe or hold your finger down on the screen.
Whatever you need to do, the action is displayed on the TV and on your smartphone, so you’ll never be in the dark about what you need to do.
