Sōta Yamamoto is a Japanese figure skater who has won several competitions that include the 2018 CS Asian Open Trophy championship, the 2015–16 Japan junior national championship, and the 2016 Youth Olympic championship. He is also a two-time Junior Grand Prix Final medalist.

- Yamamoto won his first gold medal at the 2015–16 ISU Junior Grand Prix that was held in Toruń, Poland, and a bronze medal in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Afterwhich, he qualified to compete at the 2015–16 JGP Final where he attained a bronze medal.
