After washing up on a tropical island with an erased memory and few resources, players must learn to survive quickly in Re:Legend. In order to do so, you will need to learn how to cultivate the island, befriend the villagers, expand the village and raise your very own magical creature known as “Magnus”. Of course, since these are wild creatures, they will need to be tamed first before you can get them to do what you want.

In this guide, we will break down everything you need to know about how to tame in Re:Legend.

How to Tame in Re:Legend

The island of Ethia is littered with mythical creatures known as Magnus. All of which are tamable and can assist you in various ways such as combat, farming, fishing, traveling, and more. Plus, you can even mount them and use their abilities at will once you’ve gained their trust.

To tame one of these animals in Re:Legend, you will need to;

  1. Select the taming food from your inventory by right-clicking on an item and selecting “Hold”. Then, face the Magnus with the food in hand and select the target using the red and blue circles.
  2. Click on the right mouse button to throw the selected food towards the Magnus to feed them. Watch for the speech bubble afterward, as it will indicate whether or not they like the food you’re feeding them. Keep trying different foods until you receive a heart from the Magnus.
  3. Once you’ve found a food they like, continue feeding them the same food until a bunch of hearts appear and swirl around the Magnus.
  4. If this happens, approach the Magnus and you should see a crystal above their head prompting you to press the “F”/use key to mount them.
  5. Upon mounting them, a circle surrounded by a bar will appear along with a timer. The goal of this minigame is to keep the small moving circle close to the middle of the larger one until the bar is filled completely.

Once the bar is filled, you would have successfully tamed the Magnus. At which point it would either join your party or return to the barn depending on whether your party is full. Now, you can share your tropical adventures together!
