Ryan McPartlinw is an American actor born on July 3, 1975. He is popularly known for his role as Devon in Captain Awesome Woodcomb on the NBC action-comedy series named Chuck. Ryan McPartlin kind of seems like an actor that’s not so soaked into the acting culture that he would know little else. In other words, he seems like the kind of guy that’s more into acting as a means of doing something interesting than setting himself above anyone in any particular field. McPartlin had spent years as an Abercrombie & Fitch model. McPartlin’s first breakthrough role was on The Nanny with Fran Drescher as a Leonardo DiCaprio-type character in a Titanic spoof. McPartlin has been mostly known for his role as Hank Bennett on the popular soap opera Passions replacing Dalton James from April 2001 until June 2004 and made a brief appearance in the series L.A. 7 as Ryan. McPartlin worked with Drescher again as Riley Martin on the television sitcom Living with Fran playing her much younger live-in boyfriend. Living with Fran was canceled on May 17, 2006, after two seasons. McPartlin originally auditioned for the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the film Superman Returns but lost the role to Brandon Routh. In 2008, Ryan participated in Mad Men, playing an affair of January Jones’s character, Betty Draper.

McPartlin also played Devon “Captain Awesome” Woodcomb on NBC’s Chuck from 2007 to 2012. In mid-2011, McPartlin appeared in Sugarland’s music video “Stuck Like Glue” as a man being stalked and abducted by lead singer Jennifer Nettles. McPartlin appears in commercials for Kate Walsh’s perfume “Boyfriend”. In March 2012, McPartlin began working with the website LiveLifeLocal to help promote active lifestyles and is filming a series of videos for the site. In 2014, he portrayed the recurring roles of police detective Dwayne Freeman on Mystery Girls and Billy the fireman on Bad Judge.

He was born on 3 July 1975 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, the United States of America to a mother whose name is Lois McPartlin and to a father whose name is Steve McPartlin. He was born and raised alongside his brother whose name is Chris McPartlin by his parents. Besides this, he is currently 45 years old with the zodiac sign of Cancer.

Ryan McPartlin studied and completed his high school at Glenbard South High School which is a public high school located in Glen Ellyn, Florida. For further studies, he studied and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign which is a public land-grant research university located in Illinois with a degree in speech communication. 

During his college days, Ryan used to play football for the University of Illinois’ football team, the Illinois Fighting Illini.

Ryan is currently married to Danielle Kirlin who is a former actress. The two of them met back in their college days at the University of Illinois and they tied knots with each other on 26 October 2002. The couple has been living together since then and they have been blessed with two sons whose names are Dylan James and Wyatt Duke.

Speaking about his wife, Danielle Kirlin is well-known for her role in the horror movie, ‘Centipede!’. Besides this, she is also a talented chef and the founder of Plate Therapy which is a food delivery service based in Los Angeles. This company was established by the couple together when she cured herself of a disease related to the thyroid with some changes in her diet.
