The long-anticipated next entry to Monkey Island series, cleverly named Return to Monkey Island, has just been provided with a release date and brand new trailer at Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live.
Excitingly for fans of the classic point-and-click adventure series, the game is landing on Switch less than a month from now, on 19th September. The trailer gives us an extended look at the game’s epic new art style, witty humour, and what to expect from some less than friendly-looking pub pirates. Check it out above.
We now know that we are going to be able to set sail with Guybrush Threepwood soon and pre-orders are now available for all wannabe pirates. Those of you who are pre-ordering will get your virtual hands on some exclusive Horse Armour — an item that appears to have no use other than to sit in your inventory. Oh, how we have missed you Monkey Island!
