London was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as the eighth overall pick and is bound to get a lucrative contract by the NFC South division franchise. But he wasn’t the only Drake who received a mammoth paycheck.

Drake wins big by betting on Drake London

Canadian music artist Drake placed a $100,000 bet that former USC star Drake London would be the first wide receiver selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Not only that, Drake further earned $225,000 in winnings when the Falcons took London with the No. 8 pick.

Drake has been known for his affection for sports as well. “Drake betting on Drake just feels right,” the rapper wrote on a screenshot of his bet shared on Instagram. Drake also flaunted his $335,000 winnings.

London, a 6-foot-4, 219-pound receiver, made heads turn when he earned the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year honors in his final season with the Trojans last year. London recorded 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns in just eight games for the Trojans before his season was cut short due to an ankle injury.

Despite the injury, he was the first WR to be picked at the 2024 NFL Draft, ahead of Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson, who went No. 10 to the New York Jets and another Buckeye receiver, Chris Olave, who went No. 11 to the Saints. But London is expected to return to action before the NFL 2024-23 season begins.
