Pokémon Scarlet And Violet File Size For Switch Seemingly Revealed

The new Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are getting closer to release. Not only will trainers have to decide what version they’re getting, but they’ll also have to work out if they’ll be picking up a physical or digital copy of the game.

If you are going the digital route, according to Nintendo’s official webpage listing – these titles will require 10GB of file space each. In contrast, Pokémon Legends: Arceus was 6.1GB in size, and Pokémon Sword and Shield were 12.4GB each.

These file sizes are subject to change between now and the release date of November 18th, and there could be patches and updates that even increase the overall file size in the future. In the Pokémon Presents yesterday, an early-purchase bonus was also revealed. It’s a special Pikachu that can be claimed if you unlock the Mystery Gift option before 28th February 2024. This takes approximately 1 – 1.5 hours of play time. Here’s another look:
