The former two-time WWE champion will be seen in an upcoming Lucha libre-themed action-comedy film named Green Ghost and the Masters of the Stone.
Gravitas Ventures has released a clip from the film which features the Almighty. This won’t be Lashley’s first appearance in a movie as he previously appeared in Blood Out and Walk-in Welcomes in 2011.
The upcoming film has been directed by Michael D. Olmos and is set to release on April 29th. This film stars the character actor Danny Trejo. Trejo has films like “Desperado”, “Machete”, and “Machete Kills” under his belt.
Other stars in the film are Charlie Clark, Marko Zaror, Elpidia Carrillo, Kuno Becker, Renee Victor, Pepe Serna, and Sofia Pernas.
The logline for the film reads:
“In a Texas border town, car salesman Charlie moonlights as masked Lucha libre wrestler “Green Ghost.” When assailants arrive seeking an otherworldly emerald, Charlie discovers that he has super powers that he must harness to save humanity.”
WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view and Bobby Lashley’s role
WrestleMania Backlash is WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view and there are already some very important matches on the card.
Bobby Lashley returned just before WrestleMania 38 on an episode of RAW and picked a fight with Omos. Lashley defeated the Colossus at The Grandest Stage of Them All. However, Lashley’s Hurt Business partner MVP betrayed him on the RAW after WrestleMania.
Lashley and Omos will compete against each other once again at WrestleMania Backlash. This match was made official on Raw Talk this week after Omos assaulted Lashley after losing to the veteran in an arm-wrestling match.
Lashley will look to beat Omos for the second time in successive pay-per-views and also get his revenge on MVP.
