Splatoon 3 is just around the corner – no really, literally just around the corner, as in next Friday – and Nintendo has reconfirmed something pretty cool that you may have missed first time around.
That’s right, it’s been reiterated that Splatoon 3’s ‘Salmon Run’ mode will be available 24/7, so if you’re lying in bed at 3am wishing you could knock out a few Salmon Run matches, you can be safe in the knowledge that’ll it’ll be available at whatever time you see fit.

It’s certainly a step up from Splatoon 2, which scheduled the Salmon Run mode at set times; granted, these were pretty generous, and chances are you’d land on a match at most times of the day, but we’re not going to say no to 24 hour access!
We recently went hands-on with Splatoon 3 (as did everyone else, if you took part in the Splatfest Premiere) and came back relatively impressed, though we acknowledged that the game is more of an evolutionary step up than a straight-up revolution.
