Nikkita Lyons reveals her injury, which forced her out of the Women’s Breakout Tournament
Nikkita took to her Instagram on Wednesday and revealed that she suffered a partial tear on her MCL. The injury forced her to reconsider her plans for the tournament and eventually kept her out of it.
However, she won’t need surgery and will be cured and fit through rehab. She was replaced by Tiffany Stratton, who will now square off against Roxanne Perez in the tournament finals. Perez beat Lash Legend to advance into the finals. The winner will get a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship against Mandy Rose.
Nikkita recently did an interview with Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast. She revealed what it was like to work with former women’s champion.
“Oh my goodness, she is wonderful. She is the sweetest person, and I’m just grateful. Put it this way, she texted me this morning to see how my knee was doing. She is such a sweetheart and so great to work with. I just loved working with her, and I can’t wait to do it again if I have the opportunity.” (H/T: Wrestling Inc)
