The 38-year-old Summer Rae was watching this week’s edition of SmackDown with her grandmother. Sasha Banks and Naomi are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions in WWE. They defended their titles this week on the latest episode of WWE’s blue brand against Natalya and Shayna Baszler.

In a closely-fought contest, the champions managed to get the win after Naomi rolled up Natalya for the pinfall. After the match, Rae tweeted about her grandma’s obsession with the Boss.

She wrote:

“My grandma is so obsessed with @SashaBanksWWE

She just asked me why she’s not opening the show…sis”

Sasha Banks and Naomi won the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38 in a fatal 4-way tag team match. They have defended the titles successfully on a few occasions since then.

As for Banks, she is a former NXT Champion and a six-time world champion in WWE. She is also in the middle of her record-tying third reign as the Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Rae’s grandma is not the only one who is a supporter of the 30-year-old. Banks has many fans and they always wish her the best.

Summer Rae still misses SmackDown

Danielle Louise Moinet popularly known as Summer Rae began her career in WWE in 2011 and served as the ring announcer for FCW TV for several months.

After NXT began, she continued working as a ring announcer. Rae competed in the NXT Women’s Championship tournament and defeated Sasha Banks in the first round.

Banks and Rae formed a heel tag team known as Beautiful Fierce Females. They aligned themselves to Charlotte Flair as well but Rae was the first one to be removed from the stable.

Rae defeated Bayley in a No. 1 contender’s match to earn a shot at Charlotte’s NXT Championship. However, Rae fell short.

Rae went on to make her main roster debut on April 22, 2013, as Fandango’s dance partner and valet. She mostly wrestled as a heel before being released in 2017. The former Total Divas star returned to a WWE ring when she entered at number 23 in this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match but was eventually eliminated by her arch-rival Natalya.

While watching this week’s episode of SmackDown, Rae tweeted that she still misses the blue brand.

“How can you watch Smackdown & not miss it”
