Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished P2 and P3 respectively while Red Bull’s Sergio Perez grabbed P4 as Red Bull closed the gap on the Scuderia to just six points in the Constructors’ championship. Even Verstappen cut Leclerc’s lead in the Drivers’ championship to 19 points.

George Russell managed a P5 finish after starting 12th on the grid, ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. Esteban Ocon also impressed as he finished in P8 after starting from the back of the grid, ahead of his Alpine teammate Fernando Alonso. Williams’ Alex Albon grabbed the final point.

However, F1 fans were simply ecstatic with the way Max Verstappen drove to take the lead and fend off pressure from Leclerc towards the end of the race.
