Nate Diaz wants a piece of the impressive Michael Chandler in his next fight
Michael Chandler got a lot of people talking after his incredible win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 274.
The former Bellator champion produced what could be the knockout of the year with his front leg kick on Ferguson.
While Chandler had some choice words for who he wanted to fight next, it seems that he has also caught the attention of Nate Diaz.
The Stockton star has not fought since losing to Leon Edwards at UFC 263. He has been out of action for almost a year, however, he wants a piece of Chandler.
Diaz had tweeted that he could fight on July 30th at 170lbs and Chandler was open to facing him. The Stockton star then called on the UFC to set up the fight.
“UFC got me on ice for a year now chandlers obviously ready to fight send a contract it’s time”
Will the UFC make Nate Diaz vs Michael Chandler?
The pair seem keen on fighting each other but that’s a different story from what the UFC might have planned.
Diaz has been wanting a fight for a while, but the UFC might be keen on doing Diaz vs Conor McGregor 3.
The Irishman has also been out of action since breaking his ankle against Dustin Poirier. However, he too is close to a return.
Then there was the call out from Chandler after his impressive win over Ferguson.
Chandler is one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC. Setting him up against McGregor would also be a blockbuster event.
The UFC seems to have a lot of options on their card, and it will be interesting to see who they set up and when.
