Love isn’t lost for Carlos Sainz after a disappointing finish at the Imola GP

Carlos Sainz took to Twitter to thank his fans for the support and vowed to come back stronger in Miami

Carlos Sainz had an outing to forget in Imola. The Ferrari driver registered a DNF and failed to complete his race. This result comes as a shock to most, given Sainz’s form so far this season. Sainz had earlier apologised to his fans on Twitter for the poor result and has now promised to come back stronger in Miami.

Grazie Tifosi for your incredible support! We’ll keep pushing to come back stronger! Forza Ferrari!!”, tweeted Sainz, thanking his fans for the constant support and vowed to put up a good show in Miami.

Sainz made a great start to the season securing two podium finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia but things have taken a turn in the wrong direction in the previous two races in Australia and Italy with the Ferrari driver registering DNF in both those GPs. Sainz is currently placed 5th in the drivers’ championship and would aim to make a strong comeback in Miami.

From you, we already expect the usual determination and the management of the vehicle from the next Grand Prix, which in my opinion is the fundamental with these cars and you’re able to do it like no one else”, wrote a fan.
