Full List of Guardians of the Galaxy Members as Seen in Thor: Love and Thunder

Before their next movie, the Guardians of the Galaxy make brief appearances in Thor: Love and Thunder. This not only gives us something to tide us over while we wait for the next Guardians installment, but it also gives us a glimpse into what the team will look like at the beginning of said installment.
Warning: Minor spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder, so if you’re averse to any kind of spoilers, now is the time to look away and come back once you have checked Thor: Love and Thunder out.
Who is a Member of the Guardians of the Galaxy?
At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, saying that the team is now the Asgardians of the Galaxy. The leader of the team is then left somewhat up in the air, as both Thor and Star-Lord clearly want the title.
When we enter the main film of Thor: Love and Thunder, we find the Guardians of the Galaxy trying to help save a planet. However, Thor looks to be hesitant to join at first, but thanks to a little encouragement from Star-Lord and Mantis, Thor rides off on Stormbreaker to join the battle.
To the chagrin of the other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy though, he completely shows them up, quickly ending the battle. Even though Thor wins, he does destroy the planet’s temple in the process, causing the planet’s citizens distress. In the same scene it is also revealed that Korg also joined the team, likely around the same time Thor did.
Afterwards, the team discovers a distress call from Sif and numerous other planets who have been attacked by Gorr the God Butcher. Thor and Korg decide to leave the Guardians of the Galaxy and find Sif, while the other Guardians go and help Gorr’s other victims. Star-Lord gives Thor a parting gift in the form of a pep talk before the Guardians hop into the Benatar and take off, never to be seen for the rest of the movie. We are set to see the Guardians of the Galaxy again with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releasing on May 5, 2024. The members that we see in Thor: Love and Thunder are likely to be the team lineup when we come into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Also, it is worth mentioning that the notable person missing is Gamora, which is due to what happened to her character in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. What Gamora has been up to and how the character will interact with the Guardians going forward will certainly be a plot point of the next Guardians installment, so we’ll just have to wait and see what is next for her character.
