Nate Diaz confused over Jake Paul’s claims of beating Canelo Alvarez

Canelo Alvarez is regarded as the best boxer in the world but Jake Paul wants a piece of the Mexican

Nate Diaz was left bemused over one of Jake Paul’s claims. The UFC star was asked if Paul could defeat Canelo Alvarez and well, he didn’t know what to make of it.

Alvarez is regarded as one of the best boxers ever to have graced the sport. He has 57 wins, one loss and two draws in his career and holds several middleweight titles.

Paul has claimed that he could defeat Alvarez if he fought for a few more years. Alvarez, for his part, hasn’t turned down a fight against the YouTuber-turned-boxer but it is unlikely that fight will take place soon.

Diaz was asked if Paul could defeat Alvarez. However, the UFC star just retorted by asking “at what?”

Jake Paul has done a great job in boxing

The YouTuber started off his boxing career against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib. He won that fight via TKO in January 2020 but that was just the start of things.

The 25-year-old then took on former NBA star Nate Robinson and knocked him out in November 2020.

Paul then started calling out UFC stars and took on former ONE Championship champion Ben Askren. Askren too was sent crashing into the canvas in August 2021.

Paul’s next two fights were against former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley. He beat Woodley the first time and knocked out the former UFC star in their second outing.

Paul has been calling out other UFC stars ever since and it is to be seen who he fights next. He also promoted the recent Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight, which was the first women’s fight to headline a Madison Square Garden event.
