Jason Denayer is a Belgian international football player who plays right-back. He is a versatile player, able to play both centrally and at left-back. Jason Denayer played for the Belgian national team from 1996 to 1997. After retiring from professional soccer, Jason Denayer has become an entrepreneur and has become a social worker. He is married and has two children.

Jason Denayer started his career with Lens based in Lens, France where he made his first team appearance in the Intertoto Cup against Vasco Da Gama in 1994. After a stint with FC Barcelona, Jason Denayer then joined Belgian giants Lens. At the time of his retirement, Jason Denayer had scored over 100 goals in his career that made him one of the all-time greats in the world of football. Jason Denayer’s international career spanned four countries which were; Belgium, Mexico, Spain and France.

Jason Denayer played a key role in the progression of Lens as they finished third in qualification for the 2024 FIFA World Cup. The club qualified from their group with twelve points from ten matches, this included a penalty shoot-out victory over eventual winners Spain. Jason Denayer impressed in this game and although his participation was limited to a substitute appearance, his impact on the team and his goal made him a popular selection for the Brazilian national team in the months which followed. Internationally Jason Denayer has been given his fair share of plaudits including being voted the best player in the 2024 FIFA World Cup. Jason Denayer impressed in both the games against Spain and Brazil, although he did not play in the final and missed out on the cup, but his performances during these two games definitely helped to boost the confidence of the Lens players.

After leaving Lens, Jason Denayer signed for French top-flight club Bordeaux where he established himself as a regular starter in their attacking line. Jason spent five seasons at the club playing at both centre forward and left wing in what was considered an attacking set up at the time. Bordeaux achieved brief success in the top division before going into administration owing to financial problems. Jason was not given any chance to revive his career at this club and decided to move abroad to play for Antigua in the 2024-11 season where he has so far impressed with his performances.
