WWE Superstar The Miz is one of the veterans in the pro wrestling world and has always had a love for Hollywood.
The Miz has acted in films like The Marine 3: Homefront, The Campaign, Christmas Bounty, and more. In the latest Mortal Kombat movie, fans were left disappointed after not seeing the Johnny Cage character featured in it.
There was however a tease for the character towards the end and there is a confirmed sequel in line that might see the character being brought back. Fans had started casting on Twitter, their top pick to play the role in the sequel. A majority of the fans felt the former WWE Champion was the perfect guy to play the role. The support for the A-lister became so viral that it was trending #1 on Twitter.
This news obviously reached The Miz and he shared how he has been working hard to stay ready to fit into the role in case he is called up.
“I have been working on my splits.” – The Miz
The 41-year-old Miz is a 2-time WWE Champion, 8-time Intercontinental Champion, and 2-time United States Champion. He is also a multi-time tag team champion in WWE.
In a recent interview with Ryan Satin, The Miz revealed that he has been working on his splits and kicks and also stated that he has been working with his trainer who trained him for his Marine 6 movie’s action sequences to stay prepared if case an opportunity presents itself.
“I wanna play Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat! I have been working on my splits, I have been working on my kicks. As soon as I saw Mortal Kombat was out, and there was no Johnny Cage yet, my name was literally trending worldwide #1, ‘We want Miz as Johnny Cage’. I was like, ‘if they want that to happen, I need to basically make sure that I am prepared and ready that if that opportunity presents itself then I will be ready and focused.’ So I called my trainer that helped me with Marine 6 and I was like ‘How do you the the intro kicks?!’ I need them left handed and right handed because Johnny can do both. So yeah I have been working on that, working on splits.”
