Not able to log into Steam right now? You are by no means alone. The platform is home to millions of users, so it makes sense that there may be an outage here and there, with some problems even going widespread. Here is everything you need to know about whether Steam is down right now, and how to check server status if it is.
Is Steam Down Right Now?
At the moment, Steam is currently reporting higher outages than usual. This has been going on since yesterday, with higher than usual reports starting at around 4 PM yesterday and peaking at around 1 PM today, with over 76 outages reported during the most recent spike.
Neither Valve nor Steam has yet to issue any sort of news regarding the outages, nor have they started a timetable on if any sort of fixes will be implemented. We’ll be sure to keep this article updated as more information on the issue is revealed.
