Send in the clones!

The original Destroy All Humans games were released during the golden age of couch multiplayer, which is probably why the original version of the sequel featured multiplayer modes. Nothing like spending an afternoon vaporizing each other. Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed has brought this multiplayer feature to the modern age with some overhauls. So, is Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed multiplayer?

Is Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed Multiplayer?

The base Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed game features local split-screen co-op. You and a buddy can take on the game’s main story missions together, or just roam around the open world and cause trouble for the human populace. While this mode is technically local-only, this can be circumvented with Steam’s Remote Play Together feature as long as you’ve got a sufficiently strong internet connection.

In addition to the campaign co-op, anyone who pre-ordered Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed also received a free copy of Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage, a standalone multiplayer game.

Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage supports either four-player online multiplayer or two-player splitscreen local multiplayer. The mode features four different game variations across six different maps pulled from both Destroy All Humans games. Objectives include things like destroying property, abducting humans, and of course, the classic deathmatch. You can also hop into your saucer and race around the maps, though unfortunately there is no dedicated free roam mode. Clone Carnage also features all of the Crypto skins available in the first Destroy All Humans remake so you can differentiate yourself from your buddies.

If you didn’t pre-order Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed, you do need to purchase the multiplayer mode separately for $12.99 USD. You can also buy the game independently of the main game if the multiplayer is all you’re interested in (though you’d be missing out on a cool game if you did that).
