The 33-year-old Dakota Kai was among the 10 NXT Superstars who were relieved of their duties by WWE last week.
The exceptionally talented wrestler was one of the most shocking names to be released from their WWE contracts last week. Kai is a former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team champion and showed great potential both as a babyface and as a heel during her stint in the company.
The WWE Universe was disheartened after the news broke and Kai’s close friend Shayna Baszler and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix praised the New Zealander.
Finally, Kai has posted a tweet where she thanked the fans for all the love and support via their tweets and DMs. She also mentioned that she made many best friends during her time in the company and lastly, wrote that she is far from being done.
