The quickest way to save is hitting Square (X on Xbox, V on PC, or Y on Switch) during dialogue to bring up the save menu. From here, you can select from any of the 50 save slots to save your data.

The other way to save would be to open up the phone menu using the Options button (Menu on Xbox, 9 on PC, or + on Switch) and navigate over to the Data tab. This opens the same save screen you’d see doing it during dialogue.
