There are many different tasks you must do to upkeep your base in Cult of the Lamb. One, in particular, is establishing your camp by rescuing and gaining followers throughout the game. How to Rescue & Gain Followers in Cult of the Lamb
A cult leader wouldn’t be anything without their followers, so it is essential to rally up members for your society. At the beginning of Cult of the Lamb, you’ll start out alone, and one of your main priorities is to rescue and gain as many worshippers as possible by going on crusades, walking on pathways, and other random events.
Before doing anything else, you’ll need to unlock the follower’s component in the game by going on a crusade. Then, once the game mechanic is available to you, you can go on quests to defeat mini-bosses at the end of every subsection. After you successfully win the battle, this mini-boss will become your follower and dedicate their life to your cause.
The second option you can do in Cult of the Lamb is to rescue followers on pathways and eliminate any enemies trying to sacrifice them. Saving these future disciples will immediately cause them to go under your reign, and you can send them back to camp to start improving the area. These new members can do things like manual labor, grabbing resources, and increasing devotion to your cult, which can also aid you by leveling up faster in the game.
Sometimes random events can give you opportunities to gain more followers, such as finding question marks on pathways and missions from your current loyal subjects. Players can also bargain with spiders outside of dungeons and purchase one follower daily.
If you do go the spider route, your new purchase will show up on the pedestal to the right when you first enter the camp. It would be best if you talked with them so that you can welcome them into the cult.
