As a result, one can preload the Genshin Impact 2.8 update files on their mobile and Windows system prior to the official launch of the patch i.e, July 13. Pre-installing the Genshin Impact update on the Windows system is relatively easy. All you need to do is update the Genshin Impact launcher by opening it, and then a pre-installation button will be provided next to the Launch button.
Simply, select the “Game Pre-Installation” option to pre-load Genshin Impact 2.8 update resources on your PC. Make sure that you keep the launcher opened until the download completes. After pre-loading the files, you can access the Genshin Impact 2.8 content and features right away on its release date.
