We’ll run you through how to get Touch of Malice in Destiny 2, as well as what the gun does. It’s not too complicated to obtain, but it might take you a fair bit of time depending on your luck.
Destiny 2 How to Get Touch of Malice
Touch of Malice is the raid exotic for King’s Fall. It’s that raids version of the Vex Mythoclast that was reintroduced into the game with Vault of Glass. That means you’ll need a Fireteam to complete the King’s Fall raid with, as the Touch of Malice only drops from Oryx – the final boss.
What’s more than that, though, is the fact that Touch of Malice isn’t a guaranteed drop. Far from it, in fact, as most players will have to do the raid 20+ times before they actually get the gun to drop. Some players still haven’t gotten Vex Mythoclast from VoG, despite playing it weekly for months and months.
The good news is that you can get three chances at Touch per week if you do a run on each of your characters. Of course, the downside to that is needing three fully leveled characters and three teams to run with. Solo players can always turn to Destiny LFGs if they need to, and new players can apply to a Sherpa raid where an experienced player will teach you King’s Fall and how to get Touch of Malice.
Destiny 2 What Does Touch of Malice Do?
Touch of Malice’s exotic perk makes the final round of your magazine deal bonus damage and regenerate, meaning you’ll never have to reload. However, every time you fire that bullet, you take some damage. If you kill three enemies in quick succession, you’ll start to heal to counteract that additional damage.
That perk effect is the same as it was in Destiny 1. However, Destiny 2‘s Touch of Malice has some additional functionality.
Precision hits with the weapon will charge up a blight. Holding reload will switch you to an alternative fire mode where you can shoot that blight. It deals damage and blinds whatever it hits.
Touch is actually one of the stronger primary weapons in the game for DPS, but it requires a lot of micromanagement to use effectively. Still, you might as well start grinding out your weekly King’s Falls to try and get your hands on it.
