I love a good walk along a boardwalk. Smell the sea air, grab a hot dog, maybe get into a fistfight with a seagull; it’s all great. If that sounds like a good time to you, you’ll love a visit to Port Forward in Ooblets, though you’ll have to find your way there first. Here’s how to get to Port Forward in Ooblets.
How to Get to Port Forward in Ooblets
Since Port Forward is floating out in the middle of the ocean, you can’t very well walk there. Instead, you’ll need to enlist the aid of Gimble and her hot air balloon Burpy to ferry you to and from. Before you can use Gimble’s balloon, though, you’ll need to meet some requirements and complete some tasks.
First and foremost, you need to progress the game’s main story to the point that you’ve activated both the Mamoonia and Nullwhere Oobnet Towers. If you haven’t done both yet, just keep following the main story, and it’ll happen on its own.

Secondly, you need to help Gimble to upgrade Burpy’s range. Can’t fly in a hot air balloon that can’t keep a fire going after all. In order to upgrade Burpy’s range, you’ll need to collect the following materials:
- 40 Planklets
- 10 Clothlets
- 40 Nurnies
- 5 Sprockuts
- 8 Spicyspears
Planklets and Clothlets can be found by foraging around Badgetown, as well as chopped from trees and stumps and grown, respectively. Nurnies can be found by smashing rocks on your farmland, and Sprockuts and Spicyspears can be foraged in Mamoonia and the Wildlands, respectively.
Once you’ve got all the materials you need, hand them over to Gimble. She’ll need a day to get the upgrade set up, so come back the following day. When she and Burpy are ready to fly, just chat them up, and they’ll ferry you over to Port Forward. Have a good time, and bring me back a snow cone!
