Imagine — you’re sitting down after a long day for some Call of Duty: Warzone. You load it up, go to join a friend’s game, and … wait, where’s the friends list? If this has happened to you, fret not — apparently, it’s been a problem for players of Warzone for … well, let’s just say it’s been a thing for a while. Though this is the type of issue that should be fixed by Raven Software and Activision, it hasn’t been (yet).

So, here are some ways to fix the issue. If, for any reason, these solutions don’t work for you, reach out to Activision via their official support page. It could be rooted in your individual version of Warzone.

How to Fix Friends List Not Showing Up

To start with, you’ll want to head for the GAME OPTIONS as soon as you boot the game up. Select your account, then navigate to ACCOUNT SETTINGS. Then, locate the option for Cross-Play and make sure it’s UN-ticked. It could be a simple check-box, or it could be a drop-down menu. Just make sure it’s disabled.

It’s then that you’ll want to reboot Warzone. While it may be a little overkill, you’d might as well reboot the console / PC as well. You can never be too safe. As soon as you’ve loaded the game back up, head to GAME OPTIONS, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, and re-tick the option for Cross-Play. I’d hate to tell you the next step, because it’s going to require you to do ONE MORE HARD REBOOT.

Close out of the game, then turn off your console / PC like before. Ideally, when you load Warzone back up, the problem will be resolved. It’s a weird problem and an even weirder solution, but if it doesn’t work for you, as we said, reach out to Activision directly. It could help to send a friend request, but aside from that and performing yet another hard reboot, there aren’t many reliable methods to fix this problem.
