How to complete Shoot to Score Quest in Destiny 2

The new Shoot to Score Quest for Destiny 2 is here! Find out how you can complete the Destiny 2 quest easily.

The Guardian Games have returned to Destiny 2, bringing with them a variety of riches to hunt for and objectives to accomplish. This event is ideal for both veteran and new players looking to pass the time before Season 17 starts later this month.

We’ll try to get to the bottom of a problem that’s been bothering Guardians in our Destiny 2 Shoot to Score Quest Not Progressing Explained guide. They have met the conditions for the Platinum Boon, but they are still trapped with the Gold Contender’s Boon.

How to Start Shoot to Score Quest

When you open Destiny 2, an objective will appear on your map screen telling you to head to the Tower and meet with Eva Levante. She is in charge of the events and will get you started in partaking in the Guardian Games, as is customary.

Interact with her, and she will give you your first task, Destiny 2 Best in Class. After completing the first task, you will be given a couple more to accomplish, one of which being Shoot to Score.

Shoot to Score Quest Steps

  • Step 1 – Play an activity in The Guardian Games: Training playlist.
  • Step 2 – Earn a Bronze score from the Competitive Playlist. (This is active on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).
  • Step 3 – Earn a Silver score in the Competitive Playlist.
  • Step 4 – Earn a Gold score in the Competitive Playlist.
  • Step 5 – Earn a Platinum score in the Competitive Playlist.

How the playlists work during Guardian Games 2024

  • The Training playlist is the place to be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You can gain practice points here (the combined score of your entire fireteam).
  • It’s time to get sweaty in the Competitive playlist on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. This is where you’ll be able to earn interesting rewards.
  • Buffs can be obtained by ranking bronze, silver, gold, or platinum in the Recreational, Training, and Competitive playlists; these endure until the following weekly reset.
  • These boosts can be used in the normal Vanguard Ops playlist.
