As a youth and underage player with the Eoghan Ruadh, Dungannon club Casey rose to fame in hurling. He eventually made it to the senior team and has played on four Tyrone SHC championship teams.

Career of Damian Casey

After defeating Armagh in the Division 3A final at Owenbeg, Tyrone was promoted to Division 2B in April, with Casey scoring 1-10.

He scored nearly 1,000 points in league and championship games (39-908).
Casey, largely regarded as one of, if not the best Tyrone hurler, led the county to four county hurling wins last season. In the Lory Meagher Cup in 2012, he made his championship debut with the Red Hands. For the tenth year in a row, he was competing in the Rackard Cup.
