Gregory Rousseau is an American football defensive end. He was voted the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 during his redshirt freshman season with the University of Miami Hurricanes. In the same year, he was chosen to the All-ACC first team.

Despite being a Florida native, Rousseau said his immediate family spent time in Buffalo. His parents first resided in the New York City area before relocating to Buffalo. One of the reasons for this was so that his mother could go to school. He once said that his parents lived in Buffalo for four years, which explains why he is so knowledgeable about the city.
Not only that but his 24-year-old brother Marvin, who works for the coast guard station in Memphis, was born there as well. Rousseau went to Hialeah, Florida’s Champa Catholic School. Isabel Alonso, the director of the Champagnat school, said she is proud of how hard he worked in college.

During his senior year at Champagnat Catholic, Rousseau had 10 sacks and 80 tackles. In 2016, he also grabbed 28 passes for 467 yards and nine touchdowns. As a senior, he guided the team to a state championship. Rousseau redshirted after suffering a season-ending ankle injury in the first two games of his true freshman year in 2018. He began his redshirt freshman year in 2019 as a backup but then became the starter later in the season, demonstrating his talent and demonstrating that he is gifted.
Gregory Rousseau was voted ACC defensive rookie of the year after posting 15.5 sacks that season. He finished second in the country, trailing only Ohio State’s Chase Young (16.5 sacks).
