INTRODUCTION
Dylan O’Brien also known as Dylan Rhodes O’Brien was born on 26th August 1991. He made his first debut in the supernatural teen drama on MTV playing the role of Stiles Stilinski, Teen Wolf. He appeared on all 6 seasons of the series. He achieved more recognition for his lead role, Thomas, in the Maze Runner science fiction film Trilogy. He also played the role of a real-life deepwater horizon explosion survivor called Caleb Holloway in the movie Deepwater Horizon in 2016.
CAREER
Before he started his acting career and was into the production and direction of a number of short comedy films which were released through his personal YouTube channel. He was also a member of the rock band Slow Kids at play where he was the lead drummer.
acting career took off when he took up his leadership role in the MTV teen drama series Teen Wolf which is based on a film from 1985. O’Brien was supposed to play the role of Scott but instead ended up playing styles after reading the script of the drama. after a total of 4 auditions was cast as the role in 2010.
O’Brien completely improvised an independent comedy film called High Road in 2011 and thereafter went on to star in the romantic comedy film The First Time. While filming for a stunt for the movie Maze Runner: The Death Cure, O’Brien was seriously injured in March 2016. According to people present at the scene, he was in a harness on top of a moving vehicle when he was unexpectedly pulled off the vehicle and hit on another. His injuries included a concussion, facial fractures, and brain trauma. Later O’Brien made a statement saying the accident broke most of his right side resulting in him undergoing reconstructive facial surgery. After this incident, he returned in March 2017 to the set of Maze Runner which premiered on January 26, 2018.
In 2017 he starred in the action thriller movie called American Assassin and played the role of Mitch Rapp. He also voiced the CGI title character in the Transformers spin-off film Bumblebee in 2018.
He also debuted in movies such as Not Ok, The Vanishing Of Caddo Lake, Deadline Hollywood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, All Too Well.
Some of his other TV series are New Girl (2013), Weird City (2019), Amazing Stories (2020), and Curb Your Enthusiasm (2024).
O’Brien has won numerous awards like the Young Hollywood Awards in 2013 Teen Choice Awards and Young Hollywood Awards in 2014, MTV movie awards in 2015, the Teen Choice Awards in 2016 2017 and 2018
EARLY LIFE
O’Brien was born in NY and grew up in Springfield Township New Jersey to the age of 12 after which his family moved to Hermosa Beach California. He is of mixed descent such as Irish Italian English and Spanish. He studied at Mira costa high school in 2009 and was later considered for Singh sports board broadcasting and working in the New York Mets.
O’Brien began posting original videos on his YouTube channel at the age of 14. A local producer and director approached him about working on television when he was in his Senior High School year. After rich O’Brien subsequently changed his plans to attend Syracuse University to complete his major in sports broadcasting and went on to pursue acting.

O’Brien is the son of Lisa Rhodes, a former actress who ran an acting school, and Patrick O’Brien, a camera operator. He has a sister named Julia O’Brien.
O’Brien started dating Britt Robertson in December 2018 and celebrated their 6 years of togetherness. They have been rumored to have met while filming the movie, The First Time in 2012. After breaking up with O’Brien they did Chloe Grace Mortez after spending time with her on the set of the nice guy. Although their actions show us that they are dating they haven’t announced anything officially.
