Deebo Samuel is an American football wide receiver who plays for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Previously, he played college football at South Carolina and was drafted by the 49ers in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He holds the record for most rushing touchdowns in a single season (2021) by any wide receiver in the history of the NFL.
Early Life
Deebo Samuel was born on 15th January 1996 and as of 2024, he is merely 26 years old. He went to Chapman High School in Inman, South Carolina where he began his football career under the coach of Mark Hodge. He played as a senior and led his team to the semifinals of the AAA playoffs. Deebo had a total of 166 catches, 2,751 yards, and 36 touchdowns during his career. Also, he won the high school sports report class AAA offensive player of the year and stood for the opportunity to play with the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. He was rated as a three-star recruit by the 247 composites. He showed his interest and later became committed to the University of South Carolina to play college football.

During the season-opening of the year 2021, Samuel dug the name of the team for an overall 41-33 victory over the Detroit Lions. He caught nine passes and rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown. In Week 8, he made six catches for 171 yards with a win over the Bears with an overall score of 33-22. Later, he earned the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. In Week 10, he made overall five catches and rushed for 97 yards with the earning of five carries for 36 yards and two touchdowns with an overall score of 31-10 and a win over the Rams. Due to this, he earned the second NFC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Deebo was elected to the Pro Bowl for 2021. Through Week 17, he had rushing touchdowns of 10+ yards. In Week 8, he stood against the Rams and threw a 24 yards touchdown pass, ran for a 16-yard touchdown, and totaled around 164 yards. He finished the season with 77 receptions, 1405 receiving yards, 6 receiving touchdowns, 59 finishing attempts (on the ground), 365 rushing yards, and 8 rushing touchdowns. While the team stood against Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round, Deebo Samuel had three passes for 38 yards and 72 rushing yards with one touchdown with the win over the Cowboys with an overall score of 23-17.

Deebo Samuel welcomed his first child on 27th December 2021. His partner gave birth to a baby boy at around 10:05 am according to the mother’s Instagram story.
