Catarina Macario’s Professional Career

On January 8, 2021, Macario announced that she would forego her senior year at Stanford to pursue a professional career. Lyon signed Macario to a two-and-a-half-year contract on January 12, 2021. She made her debut for Lyon in Division 1 Féminine on February 6, 2021, replacing Amandine Henry in the 37th minute against Montpellier. Macario is qualified to represent both Brazil and the United States on the international stage. She was chosen to represent the United States of America at several junior levels.
