All of the films, from Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, to August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and others, were shot during and in between multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. Bringing King T’Challa to life in Black Panther was the greatest honor of his career. He died at home, surrounded by his wife and family. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and requests that you respect their privacy at this difficult time.
